Public Open House 2 - November 2025
The City of La Porte held an open house on November 19, 2025 to engage the public in the placetypes (future land use) map and plan goals and objectives. Open house events allow people to review materials and make comments at their own pace, and ask questions of planning team members. The meeting was held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM CST at the Civic Auditorium in the lower level.

Public Open House 1 - March 12, 2025
The City of La Porte hosted two public open house events to engage the community in the development of a Comprehensive Plan. Team members were available to gather insights that will help inform future land use, transportation, development and infrastructure. Open house events allow the public to review material, comment, and ask questions at their own pace at any time during the event window.
Public open house events were held on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at the following locations:
12 to 3 p.m. at the Exchange Building (downtown)
807 Indiana Avenue
La Porte, IN 46350
5 to 8 p.m. at the La Porte Civic Auditorium
1001 Ridge Street
La Porte, IN 46350
