REA will be attending the Beech Grove Chamber of Commerce Meeting on January 9, 2025 at 11:30 at Hornet Park Community Center. REA will give a project update, ask attendees questions related to the project, and promote Community Planning Week. Find out more here.

Community planning week is a 4-day workshop where the consultant team will host a series of workshops with various stakeholders, including the Redevelopment Commission, Council, stakeholder groups, and the public. The consultant will be available throughout the week, engaging with stakeholders, staff, and the public and hosting formal meetings to highlight project progress and collaborate as a team on plan development. The project website will be available to record inputs in real-time that can be added to follow-up meetings and community surveys. At the conclusion of Community Planning Week, the consultant team will report back to stakeholders and the public on general findings, project direction, and next steps.

Community Planning Week will begin with invited focus groups on Monday, January 13th from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. A public meeting will be held at the end of Monday at 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm as an open house. See below for more details. The consultant team will synthesize information from those meetings to create a vision, goals, and development concepts to present to the public on Thursday, January 16th at 7:00 pm at City Hall. The meeting at City Hall will be live streamed.
